ShipSure
The challenge lay in overhauling a complex and deep legacy system, a critical component that served as the driver for all company data. This transformation aimed to ensure a strong transition to a modern WPF platform, emphasizing not only immediate usability improvements but also the long-term sustainability of the software for the next decade. This task demanded a profound understanding of varied user needs and business requirements, necessitating collaboration across international teams and effective engagement with stakeholders.

The primary goal was to enhance ShipSure's usability and visual appeal while maintaining industry standards. I aimed to streamline the user experience through meticulous requirements gathering, user testing, and the creation of high-fidelity designs. Additionally, my goal was to establish a consistent design language, documented in a comprehensive style and usability guide.

The successful revamp of ShipSure culminated in a user-friendly product meeting modern standards. Design oversight and strong collaboration between our Glasgow-based team and our external team in India ensured a robust design-to-development process. The efforts invested in the project resulted in ShipSure not only achieving enhanced usability but also establishing a distinctive brand identity, elevating it as a standalone, flagship product.
Moreover, the impact of this transformation has resonated over the years, with ShipSure enjoying a successful and enduring life. The software has been widely utilized on a global scale and gone from internal software to being sold and supported as a standalone product. The design system, conceived and implemented during the revamp, remains resilient and scalable. The fact that ShipSure is still actively utilized and undergoing further development stands as a testament to the lasting success of the project.
